2000 Gmc Sierra Battery Light Stays On. I have a 02 gmc sierra 1500 with a 4.8 and the battery light is on in the message center it has 104,000 miles on it and its been on for 2 days it only comes on after i drive it for a little bit i checked the battery i did a load test on it and it checks out put a battery tester on it while its running and it says it at 14.4 to 14.9 the gauge on the dash stays above 14 by 2 marks it. The fuel gage doesnt work when it does this also.

I have a 2000 gmc sierra 1500 5.3 i'll be driving down the highway when suddenly all my warning lights and both turn signal indicators light ( even 4 wheel drive light and i don't have 4 wheel) t. I was thinking maybe if i put an led in instead of the little incandescent bulb it has that maybe it would not let it show that dim light if the voltage on it is low enough but at the same time i like the warning lights being different colors than my backlight.

You may have parasitic draw from battery, and computer is smart enough to tell you this. However if i smack the plexiglass the trans indicator will start to glow.

Mine is the exact same way and i have upgraded batteries, alternator, wiring, etc for it all. Also i have faint to no transmission lights.

Usually, the light turns off after some time, but if it stays on even when you are driving, then pay attention. 2000 chevy silverado 1500 battery light keeps coming on then going off.the voltage meter on the dash will flutter also.this has been going on for awhile now until the other day it came on and stayed on until battery was almost dead.brand new alternator and check the battery and its good too.any thoughts?

I'd start with removing ecu fuse overnight, to see if it's gone. I've had the alternator checked at the local parts store and according to them it's operating ok and the battery was replaced after it failed.

2005 silverado battery light on. Removed underhood light fixture (didn't work but bulb was good) 4. Removed 15 amp fuse that controls the radio, climate control, and instrument cluster

I'd start with removing ecu fuse overnight, to see if it's gone. Is the battery light blinking or flashing, or is. (because i looked at the eyes, on the battery and one was black and the other one dark yellow, but i know that is only showing one cell of power not the whole battery) so after seeing that, yeah i sure thought it was the battery.
